Resumen

The article explores in depth the concept of learning strategies, defining them as a set of cognitive tools that students use consciously to improve their learning process. Throughout the paper, various theories and classifications proposed by different authors are reviewed, highlighting the importance of these strategies for academic success.

In addition, various evaluation instruments designed to measure the use and effectiveness of learning strategies in students are analyzed. These instruments allow identifying strengths and weaknesses in the use of these cognitive tools, providing valuable information for educational intervention.

Learning strategies are a fundamental element in the educational process. Their study and implementation have a direct impact on students' academic performance and on the development of critical thinking skills. However, it is necessary to continue researching and developing new tools and methodologies to promote the effective use
